Our team is looking to hire a Project Manager based in our San Francisco office to oversee multiple clients and projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day communication, project and account management with a diverse set of clients
• Manage complex projects start-to-finish, from initial creative development through production, post-production & launch
• Facilitate flow of information between external partners and Portal A’s internal team of producers, creatives, and strategists to ensure the right people get the right information on time
• Manage project timelines and ensure timely approvals and feedback from external partners
• Collaborate with the team to make sure each project is tailored to the brand and brief
• Work hand-in-hand with Portal A’s Head of Project Development on internal processes surrounding client management

Skills/Qualifications
• 2-4 years of direct client management experience in a creative environment
• Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate complex ideas in clear, concise language
• Detail-oriented to the extreme
• Experience in all aspects of creative development and production
• Able to multi-task and manage a variety of projects at once
• Active and experienced in digital media, personally and/or professionally
• Strong team building, collaborative, and interpersonal skills
• Strong ability to establish priorities and make time-sensitive decisions
• Willingness to work on a collaborative team in a startup environment

NOW HIRING: Development Creative

We are hiring a Development Creative to join our Originals team, which oversees the development of large-scale, premium projects for digital and TV. The ideal candidate has experience packaging projects for emerging platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, YouTube Red, go90, Seeso, and more, with an emphasis in unscripted.

Responsibilities
Take series concepts from logline to finished materials, including the creation of one-sheets, show bibles, sizzles, and more
• Oversee the packaging process, with an emphasis on unscripted packaging, including talent attachments and optioning original IP
• Tap into and expand our network of outside creatives and producers to bring new ideas into our development pipeline
• Lead weekly unscripted development meetings
• Research market trends, culture trends, underrepresented voices and scenes
Oversee editors on creation of visual pitch materials including rip reels, character reels, and pilots
Work with producers to build out budgets for series presentations
• Contribute directly to shows that are greenlit for production

Skills/Qualifications
5+ years as a Creative Executive in a proven production company or network with previous Development and/or Current Programming experience in the various genres of Unscripted Programming (documentary, competition, talk, etc)
Demonstrable ability to push concepts through development from concept to treatment to visual presentation materials
Knowledgeable and passionate about creating unscripted content
Extensive knowledge of the television and digital media landscape
Demonstrable track record of selling unscripted series a plus
Detail-oriented to the extreme and able to multi-task and manage a variety of projects at once
Able to leverage resources and creatively problem solve
Strong team building, collaborative, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate in clear, concise language

Our team is looking to hire an Associate Producer based in our San Francisco or Los Angeles office to manage various components of our production process and work on multiple projects at once.

Responsibilities
• Hiring and managing production crew
• Casting and managing relationships with talent
• Drafting and monitoring production budgets and schedules
• Booking locations, permits, travel, and insurance
• Managing client relationships and project timelines
• Working hand-in-hand with Executive Producer, Production Supervisor, and firm principals to ensure a finished product that is high quality, on time, and under budget
• Overseeing general office administration

Skills & Qualifications
• 2-3 years of video production experience
• Detail-oriented to the extreme

• On-set producing
