As I write this, middle aged dads all over this great country are lying in bed thinking of ways to freak their children out just enough so that they earn their respect without being so f’ed up that they get everyone legitimately pissed off. Such is the balancing act of April Fool’s Day, truly one of our nation’s most awkward holidays. I’ve never been a prank guy myself, ever since someone in 2nd grade came up with a false story about how our class rabbit had died just two short weeks before it did, but I respect those who dedicate themselves to this ancient art form.
